[Tsunami]

Ok, it's not often I make a newspost in this section of the Spikepages site, but I felt like expanding on what I said on my main news page/weblog area.

This drawing, which most of you recognised as younger versions of Dave and Jen (present-day versions; seeing as DL is set in 2014, that makes them 20/22). It's the first thing I've drawn with any form of shading on the characters and I think it really improves the look of the drawings. Therefore, I think, I'll be using shading on all the Dead Lines comics from now on. Here's a preview panel!

I like that picture. My only comment would be that the tub doesn't look as good as the rest, but I am looking forward to that kind of colour and shading quality in future comics.

I guess I forgot to shade the red band before posting it, which makes it look a lot flatter. It's supposed to be a large foil packet so I suppose I'll recolour the inside a silvery colour and shade both edges to give it a rounder appearance.
